Good food, conveniently located on level 1 opposite the MRT.
I had the mozza burger, fried chicken, and cheeseburger.
The mozza burger is awesome, with a great portion and lots of vegetables. The fried chicken is a little salty, but overall very tasty and yummy.
The best part is that curly fries are served, along with a huge root beer float. The mug is satisfying to drink from.
Service is decent. At an estimated $10 per person, it's alright.
The standards are above McDonald's and slightly below Shake Shack.
I will return.

Root beer is so nice. The burger is good. The food and drink are collected from two separate counters. You have to collect your food opposite the shop, and to get your drink, you have to give the receipt to the counter staff inside the shop.

The Cream Cheese Beef Burger 🍔 was delicious 🤤. The beef patty was juicy and tender, with a generous amount of cream cheese and lots of caramelized onions. 🧅
My order was served in less than 5 minutes after I placed it via the kiosk, and I was very impressed with their speed.
However, the staff weren't smiling when I interacted with them. They were all expressionless. It doesn't cost anything to smile at customers when serving them.

"I really wanted to like this place, but there's just nothing special about it.
The wait time is huge, around 40 minutes even during off-peak times. The burgers are very dry and simple. The curly fries are okay.
The only good thing was the root beer float, but I don't think it was worth a visit.
There are so many burger places in Singapore; this one is avoidable."

It's good to see A&W coming back to the Singapore market. It's nostalgic fast food from my childhood. The interior design is welcoming, with a spacious, family-friendly layout. The staff are friendly and attentive. I love their root beer server.

I ordered the beef coney dog combo, and it was disappointing. The hot dog wasn't snappy, and the topping was cold. Even the curly fries were cold when served. Only the root beer was good.

This A&W outlet opens slightly later than others, so we drove over since we were craving some American fast food!
Ordering and payment were easy using the self-service kiosk, and the food was prepared quickly.
Most importantly, it's yummy 😋.

Here's the edited review:
"Usual A&W food fare. Spacious environment. I enjoyed the double fish burger."

It's been a long time since I've had A&W, and it's been years since it returned to Singapore. The taste is still great, and it's a nostalgic feeling for me, growing up in the 80s and 90s. The branch at Canberra Plaza is big and has self-service kiosks. The serving and return of trays are on opposite sides of the branch, which I think is a very good move, as it's more hygienic. Price-wise, it's fair, and I highly recommend their chicken and beef burgers, which are definitely better than the usual M brand. P.S. Did you know that A&W was actually the first American fast-food brand in Singapore, established way back in the 60s?
