I had their Mee Hoon Kueh 面粉粿 today. I was quite disappointed with the portion size and the doneness of the noodles. They were undercooked inside and didn't taste "al dente," assuming that was the intention.
Nevertheless, I'm still happy we have a go-to place for buns, dim sum, and Hong Kong delicacies here in Canberra Plaza. The food quality has plenty of room for improvement.

"Only a third of the bowl for chili pan mee, and with no egg yolk? The quality of food in this store is abysmal."

"This isn't the usual fare you'll find elsewhere. It's the only Nam Kee Pau I know of that serves ccf, shui kueh, and similar items. However, they were all disappointing. While I understand the desire for innovation and expanding their menu, they seemed to have forgotten about quality. I wouldn't recommend trying their non-dim sum items."

Based on the first and second pictures, you can see why I've given this a 1-star rating.

"During non-peak hours, with literally only me to serve, they gave me the wrong order? I asked for mee hoon kueh, and I don't like ban mian. It was too far (and hot) for me to walk back to change it. The noodles were also soggy, even though they were served separately. The standard has dropped :("

The auntie was very rude, and the male cook was holding the dough without washing his hands after using his phone. It was quite disgusting.

The staff was rude, and the restaurant seemed understaffed. The female staff was constantly serving customers who wanted to purchase buns (Bao). She took two orders in front of me (ban Mian) and then mine, but continued to shout, "Who else needs Bao?" Then, halfway through cooking the noodles, she went to serve customers buying the Baos. My noodles ended up extremely soggy and gross, and there was barely any meat. What an expensive, awful noodle dish!
Note that this was a take-away order, and I live less than a 10-minute drive from home. I will not buy from this outlet again.
The Plaza Singapura outlet is still the best.

I usually don’t leave reviews! But I am appalled that they cheated my husband out of $2.30 by selling the wrong product. My husband is a vegetarian, and he asked for red bean pau! He asked 2-3 times, but the auntie working on 10/5/24 at 7 pm said it was red bean pau and sold it to him. He came home to realize it wasn't red bean pau. I don’t understand why they did this. It’s very far for us to go back and ask them about it. Please, no wonder you guys have low reviews.
