It's good to see A&W coming back to the Singapore market. It's a nostalgic fast-food restaurant from my childhood. The interior design is welcoming, with a spacious and family-friendly layout. The staff are friendly and attentive. I love their root beer.
Good food, conveniently located on level 1 opposite the MRT. I had the mozza burger, fried chicken, and cheeseburger.
The mozza burger is awesome, with a great portion and lots of vegetables. The fried chicken is a little salty, but overall very tasty and yummy.
The best part is that curly fries are served, along with a huge root beer float. The mug is satisfying to drink from.
Service is decent. At approximately $10 per person, it’s alright. The standards are above McDonald's, and slightly below Shake Shack. I will return.
This A&W outlet opens slightly later than the others, so we drove over since we were craving some American fast food!
Ordering and payment were easy using the self-service kiosk, and the food was prepared quickly.
And most importantly, it was yummy! 😋
I really wanted to like this place, but there's just nothing special about it.
The wait time is huge, around 40 minutes even during off-peak hours. The burgers are very dry and simple. The curly fries are okay.
The only good thing was the root beer float, but I don't think it was worth the visit.
There are so many burger places in Singapore; this one is avoidable.
The staff was very rude and unfriendly. They mumbled so much that I couldn't hear what they were saying. When I asked them to repeat themselves, they gave me a rude look. The picture-taking skills were awful; the pictures were ugly and dark. They insisted it would take 30 minutes to collect them, even though the pictures didn't need that much editing, given how bad they were. I will not be returning.
If only I could give it zero stars, I would. The staff didn't even bother to adjust the lighting in the photo before printing (we printed an 8R family shot) like other shops do. The picture is so dark and horrible. Please avoid this shop, no matter how desperate you are!
"Very bad experience. I printed 24 R4 matte photos, and they all turned out overexposed. The staff simply said they print what was sent. If only a few of the photos were overexposed, I would have accepted it. But when all 24 were overexposed, something must be wrong. Expensive, lousy photo quality, and bad service. ☹️"
"Too bad I only remembered to read reviews after going there. The passport photo taking and editing 'skills' are almost non-existent. And they charged $21, too 😒🙄 The editing was unnatural, and staff claimed they didn’t have the original photo, even though the photo was taken the day before. Okay, what can I say? Repeat: avoid at all costs unless you can live with a terribly edited photo, or have spare cash to retake it somewhere else. Don't bother."
Unpleasant experience at Northpoint...
Reasons: I bought a photo frame for $18, but it was dirty, and the metal hook was rusty. The lady in charge was not friendly and told me to clean it myself.
When I reached home, I cleaned it and discovered the hook was still rusty. I then made a trip to Canberra to discuss the issue with Ms. Belle at Northpoint. She ultimately exchanged the photo frame without any issue.
Many thanks to her for helping.
