"Poor management and poor service. They haven't been selling margarine in this outlet for the past month, supposedly because it's a small outlet. However, white bread and kaya are always available. I suspect the margarine is a controlled item."
The cashier should be more attentive. The sign indicating where to queue should be clearer for customers. I still had to remind her that a person cut in line!
Bought two chocolate donuts at 11 AM. Tried to eat them at 4 PM, but they already tasted rancid. Gross! They had a stale, oily taste, likely from the day before. There was no quality control.
If you don’t buy high-end birthday cakes, Swee Heng will only give you one free candle and charge you 30 cents per additional candle. I bought this cake with other cheesecakes (the overall price wasn't cheap) and didn't get any free additional candles. I will think twice before visiting Swee Heng again.
I've been to this outlet many times because I live nearby. There's an auntie who makes coffee there, and from day one, she's been staring at me as if she's unhappy. What's worse, she makes the worst coffee. Ya Kun coffee is expensive, but it should at least have a standard. The moment I see the auntie making coffee, I won't buy it again!
The staff didn't ask how many were in my party and split my table. They weren't polite or respectful, and there were plenty of empty tables!
The coffee was diluted, and the sandwich was terrible; the toast was like a biscuit.
I remember there used to be prawn noodles on the Ya Kun menu, but not anymore.
"Absolutely disappointing. Despite the rising price, we still enjoy our toast and coffee from time to time. We went today and it was already closed at 9:18 PM, even though Google Maps indicated a 9:30 PM closing time. The shutters were already down."
